Myah's Baptism
We had Myah baptized at our church on October 15th. We were so happy for Myah and excited to share this moment with our close family and friends. It was very touching and Pastor Kelly did a wonderful job of making us cry! He showed the same video that he had shown during his sermon on adoption that day in church when I fell apart! This time it was nice to watch it with Myah sitting on my lap and keeping me busy! She healed the wound in my heart! When it was our turn, Kelly's voice started to crack and he said "Mark and Leslie, you have done a good thing". Believe me, we didn't do it alone! So many people made our journey to Myah a reality that is for sure. Besides, we feel like she has brought so much joy and spirit into our lives that she should get all of the credit. I think of how brave our little Myah is and she doesn't even know it. It was a very special day for our family and it was nice to have our first of many occasions honoring Myah. Since we missed her first birthday, it was nice to have the family together to celebrate her life.Myah wore her Chinese dress that we bought in China for her that she wore on the famous red couch at the White Swan Hotel for pictures. Our good friend Liz made a very special cake for the occasion, it was delicious! A man from church makes beautiful oak boxes with a cross on top for all of the children being baptized as a place to hold their keepsakes, it was so pretty. Great Uncle Charlie made Myah a gorgeous toy box , this little girl is getting pretty spoiled! We received many special gifts for Myah, it was fun opening things for a little girl! This was a special date in our family's history because Mark's Grandpa Fahlsing would have been 99 years old. I know he was looking down on us with pleasure. We are so happy for Myah and are looking forward to many more special days ahead.

Sixteen Months Old
Ok the months are really flying by now! Little Miss Myah is walking everywhere and is getting into everything! She is definately making up for lost time. She has no fear, she likes trying to climb up anything that looks interesting. What a character, she is surely becoming a Friend/Schultz family member with her fun loving attitude and her gift of gab. She started saying "hi" tonight and can now say Mama, Dada, Dayton, ball, book, all gone and gentle ( she liked to hit so this one was the first one she learned!). We just love her so much, I can't stop kissing her cheeks, they are the chubbiest little things you have ever seen! She has the best giggle, she loves to be chased around the house and she will just squeal when we go after her. She is going to be baptized this weekend, we are really looking forward to this special day for her. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. She has touched so many people, everywhere we go she attracts attention, at the restaurants it gets really crazy, everyone stops by and asks all about her. Now that she is interacting more with people, she eats up the attention and becomes quite the charmer. This gets her free balloons, food, and crayons. We can't wait to celebrate all of the fall holidays with her, we took her to her first pumpkin patch today, she loved the animals and tried to catch the kittens. She is going to be a lady bug for Halloween, we wanted her to be Snow White but the costumes weren't small enough. She is our fairy tale come true and she is our princess every day!
